Kamaru Usman shares bold prediction for Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad title fight at UFC 304 - "I think this is a very intriguing fight"
Kamaru Usman is excited about the Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad welterweight title fight announced for UFC 304. Usman is 1-2 against 'Rocky' and has high expectations for the Englishman in his upcoming fight.
Speaking about the welterweight title clash during a recent episode of the Pound 4 Pound podcast, 'The Nigerian Nightmare' gave Edwards the upper hand for the upcoming fight.
According to Usman, Muhammad cannot effectively take his opponent down and keep him on the ground, saying:
"I would say I like Belal, but I think Leon. This is the difference, the sport has changed so much to where guys are learning how to use the cage to get up. It not even really wrestling anymore... Belal Muhammad, I don't feel is a high enough level of a wrestler to take him down at the center of the cage and keep him down there."
Usman added:
"Belal, his level is definitely up there, where he can switch stances... He mixes it up. He knows how to control his pace... I think this is a very intriguing fight, but Leon just being the champion and being confident, I think he is going to be sharp."
