"She just saved the PFL 3 million dollars" - Cris Cyborg reacts to Kayla Harrison's upset loss in the hands of Larissa Pacheco

However, in another tweet directed at Harrison, Cyborg suggested that the loss would be beneficial to her rival. The Brazilian claimed that it would make Harrison a better fighter in the long run:
"Tonight will only make Judo Kayla a better fighter. One thing I learned after going 14 years undefeated is that sometimes you need to lose to become your best."

Kayla Harrison reflects on the first loss of her MMA career to Larissa Pacheco
Kayla Harrison was attempting to become a three-time PFL women's lightweight world champion on Friday night at the PFL World Championship 2022.
She entered the fight with a 15-0 record, having defeated Larissa Pacheco by decision on two previous occasions. However, the unpredictable nature of MMA showed itself once again, as Pacheco was able to get an unexpected victory.
While Harrison was able to win Rounds 1 and 3, her opponent dominated the other three rounds and secured a decision victory. Both women were hurt by powerful punches multiple times during the fight, but neither fighter could knock their opponent out.
Kayla Harrison appeared in front of the media following the fight and reflected on the loss. The Olympic gold medalist was humble in defeat and gave her opponent full credit for being the better fighter on the night:
"Larissa was the better fighter. I don't have an excuse, I don't have a reason. I believe in my team, I feel like we did everything right in order to prepare for this fight. It didn't go my way tonight, I made some tactical errors. A lot to work on, failure is my fuel. Some days you're the nail and some days you're the hammer."
