Kenny Florian goes off after being called a "company man" for thinking Paddy Pimblett won a close fight

Paddy Pimblett was involved in one of the most controversial decisions in recent memory at UFC 282.

'The Baddy' was awarded a unanimous decision victory over Jared Gordon in the co-main event last weekend in Las Vegas. However, many felt that 'Flash' had won at least two of the three rounds.

Various MMA shows have discussed the fight since, and anyone who stated that they felt Pimblett had won the fight garnered a fair bit of criticism from fans. One such pundit is Kenny Florian, who is a co-host of the Anik & Florian Podcast alongside UFC commentator Jon Anik.

While the pair discussed the UFC 282 co-main event on episode #376 of the podcast, Florian said that he scored the fight for 'The Baddy'. He has since been labeled a "company man," and took to Twitter in an attempt to educate the fan base on the scoring criteria.

'KenFlo' tweeted the following:

"I also said I don’t see Paddy beating anyone in the top 15 at LW. This is a great example of people still not knowing how judging is scored and how the ufc operates but have strong opinions. Any fight that’s close isn’t a 'robbery' despite your need to be outraged."

The funniest YouTube comments so far from our last @AnikFlorianPod is that I’m a “company man” for thinking Paddy won a close fight, meaning I’m a ufc company man even tho I don’t work for them. 😂 The other one is that I picked Paddy so I can get a job with the ufc. 🤣

Paddy Pimblett extended his run in the UFC to 4-0 with his victory last weekend. Given the controversial nature of the contest, Jared Gordon has called for the pair to have a rematch in 2023, as 'Flash' is confident he will get the result he desires at the second time of asking.

Sean O'Malley shocked by Paddy Pimblett's victory

Many fans and fighters alike were surprised by the result of UFC 282's co-main event. Sean O'Malley appears to be the latest fighter to express his amazement at the result.

Several MMA pundits stated that Paddy Pimblett could certainly have won the fight, such as Kenny Florian. But the overwhelming majority of the MMA world appear to feel that Jared Gordon should have had his hand raised.

While reviewing the UFC's final pay-per-view card of the year, Sean O'Malley said the following:

"Everyone in our building was like, 'Oh Paddy lost.' 100 percent. When they announced the unanimous decision I thought, 'Well I thought Paddy won at least won round,' and then they announce that! What?!"
