Kevin Holland replies to troll DM about UFC 307 rib injury with self-deprecating twist: "Rib pain like a v*gina"
Kevin Holland recently revealed his conversation with a fan who mocked him for his rib injury at UFC 307. In addition, the 31-year-old apologized to everyone who backed him to win by degrading himself.
Holland took on Roman Dolidze in a middleweight encounter at UFC 307. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned, as the American fighter's coaches opted to call off the fight after Holland sustained a rib injury during a grappling exchange in the first round. As a result, Dolidze was deemed the winner by knockout.
After that, Holland posted a screenshot of himself having a private conversation with a fan who was insulting him on social media. The screenshot was posted on his Instagram story. 'Traiblazer' responded to the person's comments by saying:
''I feel like a piece of sh*t rib pain like a v*gina.''
He captioned the story:
''Can’t have a response to everyone but yeah I feel like a total piece of sh*t. My bad to all the [ones] who put some bread on the line or told they friend I was gonna win. Ima p*ssy.”
Even UFC CEO Dana White questioned if Holland's rib injury was a fracture or dislocation, among other possibilities, so it's unclear exactly what happened. What is clear, though, is that Dolidze secured a takedown before the injury happened.
It looked as though Holland tried to struggle out of the position with him under Dolidze on the canvas, breaking or popping one of his ribs in the process. UFC superstar Conor McGregor criticized the decision to halt Holland from fighting following his injury, arguing that the American should have continued.
Kevin Holland's coach believes calling off the bout was the correct thing to do
Kevin Holland is one of the more active fighters on the UFC roster, as he fought for the third time this year at UFC 307 against Roman Dolidze. However, Holland's fight was cut short when he suffered a rib injury in the first round, forcing his coaches to call off the bout.
Holland's coach Bob Perez recently took to social media and asserted that the 31-year-old wasn't fit enough to continue, and that's why he gave the referee the signal to end the bout.
''We took the L last night. Rib injury while escaping. Could not continue. I called the fight. It sucks, but was the right thing to do. Thank you for the love.”
