Kevin Holland's manager reveals what caused Jorge Masvidal's second altercation with 'Trailblazer' after UFC 287 ceremonial weigh-ins
UFC welterweights Jorge Masvidal and Kevin Holland reportedly got into another altercation on Friday morning, as per Holland's manager. Masvidal and Holland had previously gotten into an altercation on Wednesday in the lobby of the UFC fighter host hotel. Both fighters are set to compete at the UFC 287 event in Miami on Saturday, April 8, albeit against different opponents.
Their first altercation in the host hotel's lobby on Wednesday was swiftly de-escalated, as they were separated by security personnel and others. That said, Masvidal and Holland got into a second altercation outside the host hotel after the UFC 287 ceremonial weigh-ins on Friday morning.

TMZ Sports first reported that Masvidal got into an altercation with an unidentified individual on the streets outside the fighter hotel around the time the ceremonial weigh-ins took place. On that note, TMZ Sports later updated the report and revealed that Holland's manager Oren Hodak (of KOreps) has confirmed that Masvidal's altercation transpired against Holland.
According to Oren Hodak, Holland addressed Masvidal after the UFC 287 ceremonial weigh-ins and stated:
"Sup, baby girl."
Apparently, this started the altercation. In the video footage released by TMZ Sports, Masvidal can be seen trying to confront someone while being held back by members of his own team.
Furthermore, Hodak claimed that Holland said the same thing to 'Gamebred' on Wednesday, which caused their hotel lobby altercation. In the video of their second altercation, Masvidal is present in the frame whereas Holland isn't.

Jorge Masvidal and Kevin Holland look to return to winning ways at UFC 287
MMA megastar and the UFC's BMF champion Jorge Masvidal has suffered several setbacks inside the octagon in recent years. Masvidal is currently on a three-fight losing streak. The Miami native's most recent fight witnessed him lose to friend-turned-foe Colby Covington via unanimous decision in March 2022.
Meanwhile, UFC fan favorite Kevin Holland has been unable to secure a victory in his recent octagon outings. Presently, 'Trailblazer' is on a two-fight losing streak. Holland's last fight ended with him suffering a fourth-round TKO defeat against Stephen Thompson in December 2022.
Needless to say, both Jorge Masvidal and Kevin Holland find themselves at a crossroads in their UFC careers, as another loss could further dent their respective brands. The duo will try to return to the win column at the upcoming UFC 287 event.
Jorge Masvidal is scheduled to face Gilbert Burns, while Kevin Holland will fight Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC 287. Both matchups are scheduled to be three-round welterweight bouts.
