Khabib Nurmagomedov announces plan to introduce platform bringing athletes and fans together
Despite not being an active fighter anymore, Khabib Nurmagomedov is still looking to create a connection with fans and recently revealed that he has something in the works.
Nurmagomedov tweeted a photo announcing his new venture called Gameplan, which will help bring athletes and fans closer together. He is getting into the metaverse and believes that his platform will be revolutionary.
He wrote:
"We are building Gameplan as a platform to bring athletes and fans together like never before. Big news soon, follow @meta_gameplan"
On Gameplan's Twitter account, there was a tweet that provided more information on the platform and what they plan to offer. It is basically described as an all-in-one destination for gamers, writing:
"Gameplan is the first-ever sports metaverse, where fans can play games, create events, shop and meet their favourite athletes. Gamers can take part in a unique experience, attend events and purchase merchandise. It’s the ultimate extension of sports fandom."
The possibilities are endless for the Gamplan metaverse platform, especially considering that 'The Eagle' is on-board. It will be interesting to see how successful this new venture will be for the UFC Hall of Famer.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is involved in a football venture
Khabib Nurmagomedov has kept himself busy since retiring from MMA in 2020. The former UFC lightweight king has been involved in many different ventures such as coaching, fight promotion, and also football (soccer in the US).
'The Eagle' and football legend Clarence Seedorf launched SK Performance Club, which combines training methods of MMA and football together to teach kids. On their website, they mention how kids will benefit from having MMA and football integrated in their training will have a positive impact on their growth and improvements.
They wrote:
"The excercises have been developed to enhance the learning capacity and creativity in a profound way that will increase the social and emotional intelligence of the participants."
Nurmagomedov and Seedorf's SK Performance Club has launched in the Middle East and Canada, and also plans to launch in Africa and Europe.
