Khabib Nurmagomedov's "true character" praised for not forgetting his roots: "It shows that he is a true champion"
Khabib Nurmagomedov is often commended for his strength of character and genuineness. Ahead of his return to cornering, the praise is no different, as a recent video featured him training at K-Dojo, where he was spoken of in glowing terms once again.
The video, which was uploaded to Nurmagomedov's official YouTube channel, showed the Dagestani legend being praised by K-Dojo head coach Murat Keshtov. He revealed that K-Dojo is the gym where 'The Eagle' trained for his UFC debut. Despite his stardom, Nurmagomedov has not forgotten where he came from.
"Today we had visit, surprise visit, from Khabib, from 'Eagle.' [We are] very, very grateful for [him] not forgetting us, you know, where he started and [he] always calls, always visits when he's in the area. It shows the true character of him, you know? Like, it shows that he is a true champion. Not only in the cage, but outside the cage he is a good person."

Nurmagomedov's conduct inside and outside of the cage has earned him a tremendous amount of respect from many in the combat sports world. Controversial influencer boxer and frequent trash-talker Jake Paul has never spoken ill of 'The Eagle,' admitting to respecting him far too much to do so.
In fact, the unbeaten Dagestani legend commands so much respect from his peers that fellow UFC alumnus Ben Askren believes that Conor McGregor, who is one of the very few who often insults Nurmagomedov, envies 'The Eagle's' reputation.
Belal Muhammad also praised Khabib Nurmagomedov's character
Belal Muhammad and Khabib Nurmagomedov struck up a friendship in 2022, with 'The Eagle' having guided Muhammad to his first finish in three years when the latter TKO'd Sean Brady at UFC 280. Since then, they have maintained friendly ties, with Nurmagomedov frequently calling on Muhammad's help in training.
During a recent sitdown on the Money Loyalty Legacy podcast, Muhammad spoke of Nurmagomedov's kindness.
"He bought me, like, $600 pair of shoes, from like Hermes. I'm like, 'Bro, I don't even wear name brand stuff.' We just went shopping in California, and he's like, 'I want to get you a gift,' and I was like, 'Bro, I don't want you to give me this gift. I don't need it, I don't wear them.' But he got me them anyway."

Whether Nurmagomedov will be in Muhammad's corner for UFC 304, when he challenges Leon Edwards for the UFC welterweight championship, however, remains to be seen.
