Khamzat Chimaev accuses Colby Covington of lying, says he is an "easy" fight
Khamzat Chimaev has spent much of the past year calling out Colby Covington, however, a bout between the two failed to come to fruition.
'Chaos' recently claimed that he accepted the fight, however, 'Borz' has accused him of lying.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour, the No.3-ranked welterweight stated:
"He lied. They called me up four times, but why did it not happen? They wanted it, UFC wanted it, why did it not happen? Somebody said no. I know it's not me. I go out with the media that time and he was quiet."
"I showed to everyone I want to fight with Colby. I post a picture of him on Instagram and Twitter. Everywhere I spoke about that. I wanted to make that show."
Khamzat Chimaev added:
"That will be an amazing fight. A lot of people going to watch that fight because the guy he makes show and many people don't like him because he lies too much, but still he is a fighter. For me, that's an easy fight."
"I'm a much better grappler than him, much better wrestler than him. Striking as well, I have a hard punch... How's he going to use his cardio? How's he going to take me down? How's he going to hurt me? He's too little boy."

Khamzat Chimaev accused Colby Covington of avoiding him at the UFC PI
Khamzat Chimaev has been unsuccessful in his attempts to face Colby Covington. The No.3-ranked welterweight recently accused 'Chaos' of avoiding him at the UFC Performance Institute, stating:
"That is normal. You can lie at press conferences and make it a show. For me, I can't lie for people. I'm the real. I'm who I am. If they like it, they don't like it. That guy plays too much. I saw him at the PI and he saw me and turned around. He ran somewhere. I didn't see him anymore... I never chose my fights. These chickens, they lie so much."
