Khamzat Chimaev claims "stupid" Bo Nickal is not ready to face him
Bo Nickal has alleged that he would beat Khamzat Chimaev if the pair were to clash. The No.3-ranked welterweight recently responded to Nickal's comments, claiming that the middleweight prospect is not ready to face him.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour, 'Borz' stated:
"Maybe we'll meet some day. He's a good fighter, but still I didn't see so much. In three years, we'll see. When I come up maybe we'll fight for the title one day. It's too early to fight me and him. He didn't become 100% a fighter. If they put against me, that guy, now, I'm going to break him in three rounds. If they put me later, we'll make some fun fight for everyone."
When Helwani informed Khamzat Chimaev that Bo Nickal believes he can defeat him right now, he laughed it off, responding:
"He has to be stupid, brother, if he thinks like that."

While Chimaev has previously competed at welterweight, he has teased that he will be moving up to Nickal's middleweight division. Although a bout between the two is currently unlikely, as they are at different stages of their UFC careers, it is clear that 'Borz' is open to a match in the future.
Khamzat Chimaev claims that he has accepted fights with multiple contenders
Khamzat Chimaev has not entered the octagon in over six months. The No.3-ranked welterweight recently claimed that is no fault of his own as he has accepted fights with three top contenders in the UFC. During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, 'Borz' stated:
"I accept all fights, but the fights never happen. That was Colby, that was Alex Pereira, then it was Whittaker. I accept all the fights, but it didn't happen so I don't know what's happening or what I'm waiting for... I think [I've accepted] three or four [fights]."

Chimaev claimed that he accepted the opportunity to fight Colby Covington multiple times, however, the No.2-ranked welterweight never responded to contract offers. He noted that 'Chaos' did not begin to mention him until the day after it was announced he would be moving to middleweight. Despite his plans to move up a division, 'Borz' shared that he is willing to cut weight to 170 pounds if Covington is now willing to accept the fight.
