Khamzat Chimaev has hilarious response for a 'what if' question involving UFC fighters
Khamzat Chimaev's fighting weight is about 100 pounds lighter than Francis Ngannou's. The No.3-ranked welterweight had an interesting strategy for defeating the former heavyweight champion.
Blockasset posed a question on their Twitter account, stating:
"You’re in an arena with: Khabib, Diaz Bros, Khamzat, Darren Till, Jon Jones, Ngannou, Leon Edwards, 1 rifleman with 3 rounds, [and] a bear. Pick 3 to defend you, the others will attack you. What's your game plan? Khamzat has his plan 🐺🤣 The best answer wins $100 of $BLOCK"
In the clip, Khamzat Chimaev stated:
"Give me the guns, I'm going to shoot [Francis] Ngannou. How you gonna knock him out, bro? You have to use something, brother."
While Francis Ngannou does have three losses in his mixed martial arts career, he has never been knocked out or submitted. While Chimaev's strategy of using guns on 'The Predator' may prove useful, it could also prove costly depending on his other two selections, as only three rounds are available.
While 'Borz' constantly shows confidence in his abilities in the octagon, it appears the former heavyweight champion is the one fighter he is not willing to face.

Khamzat Chimaev believes he will face Robert Whittaker next
Khamzat Chimaev has been inactive since defeating Kevin Holland at UFC 279 nearly six months ago. The No.3-ranked welterweight recently shared that he believes Robert Whittaker will be his next opponent. Speaking with Red Corner MMA, 'Borz' stated:
"I think I will fight Robert Whittaker. He's got no opponent. Paulo Costa ran away after talking that much about me and Robert so I will fight Whittaker. I want this fight, although I like him as a human being. He is a solid guy, doesn't talk trash, doesn't cross any lines. We are going to have fun at the press conference and fight each other."
Chimaev has accused other fighters on the UFC roster of ducking him, however, the No.2-ranked middleweight shared that he would take the matchup. Khamzat had previously called for a middleweight title shot against Alex Pereira, however, that opportunity seemed unrealistic as he is not ranked in the division.
Instead, the middleweight champion will face Israel Adesanya at UFC 287 in a rematch of their UFC 281 bout. A victory over Whittaker could provide Chimaev with the opportunity to fight for the middlweight belt.
