Khamzat Chimaev rates Conor McGregor, Robert Whittaker, Ilia Topuria, Max Holloway, and others ahead of UFC 308
Khamzat Chimaev took part in a since-deleted segment with TNT Sports, which saw 'Borz' rank several high-profile UFC fighters. During the sitdown, the unbeaten Chechen shared his thoughts on the likes of Conor McGregor, Robert Whittaker, Ilia Topuria, Max Holloway, Israel Adesanya, and others.
When asked to rate his upcoming UFC 308 opponent and former middleweight champion Whittaker, Chimaev was kinder and more realistic than he usually is when assessing other fighters. While the segment was deleted from its official source, it is still shared on X by a user called Aldonie.
As for Chimaev's assessment of Whittaker ahead of UFC 308, he rated him fairly high on a scale of one to 10, with 10 being the highest rating.
"Eight."
However, when it came to the promotion's reigning featherweight champion, Topuria, 'Borz' issued an even more jaw-dropping rating.
"Ten."
Check out Khamzat Chimaev rating his fellow UFC roster-mates:
When it came to former two-division champion McGregor, Chimaev rated him a seven out of 10. Meanwhile, the likes of Adesanya and Holloway were rated 9/10, as was Kamaru Usman, who 'Borz' previously beat via majority decision at UFC 294. Justin Gaethje, on the other hand, was rated a 8/10 fighter.
Alexander Volkanovski was rated 9/10, with Belal Muhammad being a rare 10/10. Both Shavkat Rakhmonov and middleweight titleholder Dricus du Plessis were rated at 9/10. Curiously, both Ian Machado Garry and Sharabutdin Magomedov were not given a rating, despite being notable fighters.
Naturally, Chimaev rated himself highly, labeling himself the 'King of the UFC' in relation to the other fighters.
Khamzat Chimaev is still undefeated in the UFC
Despite making his promotional debut four years ago, Khamzat Chimaev has yet to taste defeat inside the octagon. In fact, he is undefeated overall in his MMA career, with a current 13-0 record. During this time, he has beaten the likes of Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, and Kevin Holland, to name a few.
However, his performances are no longer as dominant as they were when he was facing lesser competition. Despite submitting Holland, who is not an elite top-five fighter, Chimaev hasn't finished anyone else since 2021. Moreover, he has struggled with illness and injury, which has kept him from fighting often.
