KSI discloses when he plans on retiring from boxing

KSI has revealed a timeline of fights that will eventually end in retirement from boxing for the YouTube and music star.

Fight May 13th - Misfits 007

Fight winner of Kingpyn Tournament - August 26th - Misfits 010

Fight Tommy fury/Jake Paul December 16th - Misfits 013

Retire and go back to music.

Sounds like a good plan to me 🤔

The timeline starts on May 13 at Misfits 007. The PRIME co-founder will face Joe Fournier, a businessman and pro boxer who has fought the likes of David Haye and other professional boxers. The event will be followed by August 26th at Misfits 010, in which the Watford-born content creator will look to fight the winner of the Kingpyn boxing tournament.

To close out his career, the ‘holiday’ hitmaker plans to face either Jake Paul or Tommy Fury in the final fight of his boxing career. Thereafter, he plans to return to music and likely other ventures.

'The Nightmare' is coming off a knockout victory in the first round against Faze Temper in January. Plans to face Jake Paul at the end of the year were derailed when Paul suffered a split decision loss to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia in February. Paul is expected to either exercise his rematch clause with Fury or box Floyd Mayweather next.

The British content creator could also just want to fight Tommy Fury should he beat 9-0 professional boxer Joe Fournier in May. He tweeted:

“At this point, after I beat a pro boxer on May 13th, I’m gonna go straight for Tommy Fury. Jake Paul is being long with negotiations."

The British YouTuber’s boxing coach, Alexis Demetriade, gave an interview with Sky Sports where he spoke of the social media star's skills as a fighter. He elaborated on how much he thinks the Jake Paul fight is worth in terms of revenue. He said in the interview:

“KSI is absolutely one of the hardest workers I know, and I've trained heavyweight champions of the world. KSI's in that bracket, he works just as hard as those guys. We're doing double sessions on days where people should be in bed."

When asked about the potential fight with Jake Paul, he said:

"KSI vs Jake Paul has to happen. If you're realistic about it, it's a £100m fight. It's enormous. If it doesn't happen at the end of the year, it's going to be because of the Jake Paul team. It won't be because of us. We've signed off arenas, so we want that fight.”

It'll likely be a sell-out crowd when two of the biggest names on social media go toe-to-toe this year.
