Lauren Murphy involved in heated argument with Twitter user after drawing a parallel between her UFC 283 fight and Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Zhang Weili 1

Lauren Murphy recently went back-and-forth with a Twitter user over her recent fight at UFC 283.

'Lucky' took on Jessica Andrade in the latter's home country of Brazil. The fight was a one-sided affair as Andrade landed heavy shots on her opponent throughout the 15-minute fight and picked up a dominant decision victory. The three judges scored the fight 30-25, 30-25, and 30-26 in favor of the Brazilian.

After the contest, a debate ensued on social media about whether the fight should have been stopped earlier, possibly saving Murphy from taking unnecessary damage.

'Lucky' chimed in on the issue, questioning why the same argument was not raised during the first fight between Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk, which caused a massive hematoma on the Polish fighter's forehead.

"Where were these people when Joanna looked like f**king Megamind in her fight with Weili?? If they’re concerned for safety, why weren’t they screaming for her to be pulled? Competitive or not, shouldn’t her “safety” have come first? Miss me with this double standard BS," wrote Lauren Murphy.
Where were these people when Joanna looked like fucking Megamind in her fight with Weili?? If they’re concerned for safety, why weren’t they screaming for her to be pulled? Competitive or not, shouldn’t her “safety” have come first? Miss me with this double standard BS

A Twitter user uploaded a post taking a jibe at Murphy for drawing parallels between her fight at UFC 283 and Weili vs Jedrzejczyk 1.

Lauren Murphy comparing her fight with Jessica Andrade to Joanna vs Weili 1 was not something I expected today

'Lucky' fired back at the user, saying that she was referring to the damage incurred in the two fights.

"You’re a stupid a**hole. I was talking about damage, not the competitiveness of the bout. Get in line with every other a**hole that twists what I say to get some clicks and feel good about yourself."
@McGregorRousey You’re a stupid asshole. I was talking about damage, not the competitiveness of the bout. Get in line with every other asshole that twists what I say to get some clicks and feel good about yourself. 🖕🏼

The user responded by calling Jedrzejczyk a superior fighter among the two.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. The main difference is Joanna is good🙏 twitter.com/laurenmurphymm…
