"Legend status" - Fans give Takeru Segawa his due praise in glorious knockout win over Thant Zin in Bangkok

Former ONE flyweight kickboxing world title challenger Takeru Segawa recorded his first victory in ONE Championship against Thant Zin last week at ONE Friday Fights 81 inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Takeru returned from a knockdown in the opening round to score a second-round finish of the Burmese rising star with an atomic combination to the body.

The epic sequence of his victory was posted by ONE Championship on their Instagram account, and they wrote the video's caption with:

Takeru Segawa and Rodtang Jitmuangnon had a mini face-off at ONE Friday Fights 81

Shortly after his victory and post-fight interview, Takeru got a surprise guest inside the ring, as the reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon entered the scene to do a mini face-off with him.

The two combat sports superstars faced off for the first time and added more excitement to their inevitable clash in the foreseeable future.

'The Iron Man' is set to face Jacob Smith in a world title defense on Nov. 8 at ONE 169: Atlanta at State Farm Arena. Once he gets the job done, his showdown with the Japanese sensation is likely next on his calendar.
