"Let him fight at the Atlanta show" - Fans clamor for a Takeru Segawa showcase at the biggest show
ONE Championship once again asked fans who kickboxing superstar Takeru Segawa should face next in his return to action, as they posted a video of him on Instagram.
The world's largest martial arts organization posted a snippet of the Japanese megastar's training clip where he showcases his hand speed, and they asked the question in their caption, as they wrote:
"Takeru's speed is unmatched ⚡️ Who should the Japanese superstar take on next? @k1takeru"
Fans were quick to chime in on the conversation and wore their matchmaking hats, as users @reem42, @kickboxingandmuaythai, @jr_ladislao, @eastbound007 and @man_atsawanon sent out their ideal opponent for 'The Natural Born Crusher' as they commented:
"Let him fight at the Atlanta show"
"Takeru vs. Di Bella would be fire 🔥🔥"
"Any of the top Thai fighters would be guaranteed action"
"Give him @rodtang_jitmugnon"
"I bet he's going to fight Mamouldi."
The former three-division K1 champion is coming off a successful recovery from the arm and leg injuries he suffered during his promotional debut in January at ONE 165 against ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9.
Rodtang Jitmuangnon called out Takeru Segawa for another megafight
Longtime ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon has called out Takeru Segawa after beating the tough-as-nails Denis Puric during the co-main event of the ONE 167 card last month which went down inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
'The Iron Man' and the Japanese kickboxing star were originally scheduled to face each other in the headliner of the ONE 165 card last January, but 'The Iron Man' withdrew from the card due to injury.
Now that both are healthy and have no upcoming opponents, the anticipation for their megafight continues to build.
