"Let's do this" - Young phenom Johan Ghazali demands inter-generational matchup against Bosnian menace Denis Puric

Young Muay Thai star Johan Ghazali is not stopping in his pursuit of an all-out striking showdown with combat sports legend Denis Puric. In an Instagram post by ONE Championship, 'The Bosnian Menace' persuaded Ghazali to back off from further callouts since he believes that 'Jojo' is not ready to deal with his power yet.

Instead of heeding his advice, the 17-year-old Malaysian-American doubled down in the comments section:

"This fight is inevitable old man, let's do this."

Fresh off a vicious knockout of Josue Cruz at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 inside the Ball Arena, Ghazali understandably wants to keep improving by fighting the very best.

However, Puric proved he could keep up with the new generation's stars after going the distance with ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon in their kickboxing bout this past June at ONE 167.

While Puric is hesitant to fight Ghazali out of fear of what he might do to him, growing interest from fans and fighters alike could see them sharing the circle very soon.

Johan Ghazali opens up on where he gets his unshakeable confidence

Many fans may view Johan Ghazali's desire to fight Denis Puric as overconfidence, but that's not how the Rentap Muay Thai Gym product sees it.

In an interview with Nick Atkin during the post-event media scrum at ONE 168: Denver, Ghazali shared how he became so confident, saying:

"I don't know. I've always had confidence. I believed in myself before anyone believed in me, before anyone thought that I could go anywhere or do anything. I knew I could do it."
