Liam Harrison says a ONE Championship card in the UK will be a fitting swan song: "We need it soon"

If there's one dream Liam Harrison wants fulfilled before retiring, it's to fight on a ONE Championship card in the UK.

In just over a decade, the Singapore-based promotion known as ONE Championship, has been taking the world by storm in featuring events outside of Asia for the first time since July 2011.

The martial arts franchise is expanding faster than you can say 'go.' They've been all over Asia, the Middle East, and most recently, North America. This year, the promotion is scheduled to touch down in Denver, Colorado, for the second time in promotion history at ONE 168, and then in Atlanta, Georgia, this November for ONE 169.

Seeing that he's on the Denver card on July 5, Liam Harrison hopes that he can also host the largest martial arts promotion in the world in his home country before his illustrious career comes to an end.

Speaking to Sky Sports MMA Club, 'Hitman' said:

"I know they've got America in September, they've got America again in November, they also got Japan in between that. There's all sorts going on. We need it soon before I'm too old and withered up and just getting wheeled around by the missus everywhere in a wheelchair and I can't move anymore. If we could ge in there in the next year or two, I would absolutely love that."

Liam Harrison fights off muscle inflammation with latest balm oil to relieve pain and speed up recovery

It's not everyday you see a 37-year-old veteran like Liam Harrison compete at the highest level without absorbing a few scratches and brusies along the way.

Since he was sidelined from a bad knee injury two years ago, Harrison is taking every precaution in the book to keep his physical body healthy and well-taken care of before heading into war with Thai legend Seksan this summer.

Susceptible to muscle sores and bruises, the 'Hitman' makes a sports balm oil look cool after applying it in between training sessions.

On Instagram, he wrote the caption to his fans:

"Back in the gym after a week off...using @organic_relief_cbd balm to warm up the muscles then the 50 percent oil after to help with inflammation."
