Liam Harrison says younger fighters make up in strength what they lack in skill: “I don't think they're technically as good”

British Muay Thai icon and former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title challenger 'Hitman' Liam Harrison of the United Kingdom is one of the most celebrated competitors in the fight game.

His achievements in the ring stand alone and his body of work speaks for itself. As a veteran fighter, Harrison knows talent when he sees it. 'Hitman' is surrounded by young, talented fighters competing for the sport's biggest prize.

However, Harrison says there's a huge difference between fighters of this generation and past generations, and it lies in the skill level.

Speaking in a recent interview on the FullerWatt Podcast, Harrison said younger fighters lacked technical and fundamental skills, but make up for it with explosiveness and aggression.

'Hitman' said:

"I don't think they're technically as good, don't get me wrong, but they're all explosive and they're strong and they're powerful, and yeah, like that's what you've got to be for ONE Championship. You've got to be strong, explosive, powerful."

Harrison is coming off a two-year absence due to a nagging knee injury that has kept him on the sidelines. The United Kingdom man is getting ready for an epic comeback early next month, and you can catch him in action soon.
