Lito Adiwang believes Takeru's "insane boxing skills" may upset Rodtang in dream duel: "I'm a bit worried for Rodtang"
Lito Adiwang believes that in one of the most anticipated fights in combat sports right now, one man could sway the result his way thanks to one specific skill set.
Rodtang Jitmuangnon has been able to become a global star thanks to his incredible performances and fighting style in Muay Thai. His ultra-aggressive approach has played an instrumental role in his longtime reign as the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion.
In many ways, his counterpart is Japanese kickboxing icon Takeru Segawa, who has built his own name in his home country.
The two men were set to meet at ONE 165 earlier this year, but as evidenced by their recent staredown, this hasn't done anything to dampen the excitement of seeing them finally square off.
Though the pressure and aggression that 'The Iron Man' brings to the table is sure to be a big concern for his opponent, Adiwang believes that Takeru holds the advantage in the boxing exchanges.
Lito Adiwang spoke in an interview with Sportskeeda MMA about the Japanese star's most dangerous weapons in this matchup:
"Takeru has a lot of different approaches in his boxing, and he's really fast. I'm really excited to see that match because I want to watch how Rodtang deals with those factors. That's how I think Takeru could win over him. That's why I'm a bit worried for Rodtang if they square off in kickboxing because of Takeru's insane boxing skills."
Lito Adiwang is just as excited to see this one as the rest of the fans
In talking about the boxing prowess that Takeru Segawa brings to the table, it's clear to see why Lito Adiwang is so excited for this fight.
Like many fans, he can sit and talk about the varying advantages that both men will have in this fight and that's what makes it so compelling.
Rodtang will turn his attention to his next ONE flyweight Muay Thai title defense for the time being as he returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 8.
You can be sure that after facing Jacob Smith in a rematch, Takeru is his next target.
