Lito Adiwang dissects how Jarred Brooks-Gustavo Balart world title tiff will unfold at ONE Fight Night 24

Lito Adiwang sees the ONE Fight Night 24 headliner between Jarred Brooks and Gustavo Balart going one of two ways.

On Friday, August 2, ONE Championship will return to the familiar confines of the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand for a loaded night of action on Amazon Prime Video.

In the main event of the evening, former ONE world champion Jarred Brooks will look to once again wrap 26 pounds of gold around his waist when he meets Cuban sensation Gustavo Balart for the interim ONE strawweight MMA world championship.

Having already spent some time inside the Circle with 'The Monkey God,' Adiwang believes that if we don't see Brooks snatch an early submission, we're likely in store for a 25-minute grapple-fest between the two strawweight warriors.

"If he can’t catch Balart with a submission, then this fight will end in a decision," Adiwang said in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA. "I’m hoping that it could happen because that’s what usually happens in MMA. If we’re expecting that things will end in a certain way, then the fight will get boring, especially with how both fighters are wrestlers."

Jarred Brooks determined to bounce back following DQ loss in last outing

ONE Fight Night 24 will be Jarred Brooks' first fight since losing the undisputed strawweight MMA world title at ONE 166 in Qatar via disqualification less than a minute into his rematch with Joshua Pacio.

Before that, 'The Monkey God' ran through a gauntlet of strawweight talent, including Lito Adiwang, Hiroba Minowa, Bokang Masunyane, and the aforementioned Joshua Pacio. Not until their upcoming clash in the Mecca of Muay Thai has his path crossed with Gustavo Balart.

'El Gladiador' goes into his first ONE world title opportunity riding the momentum of a four-fight win streak, his most recent coming against Minowa—the division's fourth-ranked contender.

Who leaves The Land of Smiles with interim gold around their waist and a future date with undisputed titleholder Joshua Pacio?

ONE Championship fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 24 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime on Friday, August 2.
