Lito Adiwang says Jarred Brooks has shown incredible improvement since their fight: “He’s more consistent”

ONE Championship strawweight MMA standout and ex-Team Lakay member 'Thunder Kid' Lito Adiwang of the Philippines wants nothing more than to get a second chance at ONE interim strawweight MMA king 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks.

But the 31-year-old Filipino stalwart is also quick to give credit where it's due, and he says Brooks has become a much better fighter than when they first met.

Adiwang spoke to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview and gave 'The Monkey God' his props.

'Thunder Kid' said:

"It’s very unlike his fight with me, where I felt he was already gassed in the first round, even though he was able to showcase his power. That’s his biggest improvement, in my opinion - he has already adjusted to the weight system, so he’s more consistent in using his strengths."

Adiwang first met Brooks at ONE: NextGen III in November of 2021, as he welcomed the American star to the world's largest martial arts organization.

After a competitive first round, Brooks took over in the second, submitting Adiwang with a rear-naked choke in his ONE Championship debut.

Needless to say, there seems to be mutual respect between the two strawweights. Fans would no doubt love to see them tango in the Circle once again.
