"Living athletic legend!" - Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz react to Michael Phelps' call for penalties after Chinese doping

MMA stars Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz reacted to a recent series of comments by Olympic legend Michael Phelps regarding the Chinese doping scandal at the Olympics. This year, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and World Aquatics acknowledge that 23 Chinese Olympic swimmers tested positive for banned substances ahead of the 2021 Tokyo Games.

Nine Chinese athletes won medals this year in Paris to make matters even more complex. Phelps expressed strong feelings, saying that the athletes shouldn't have been allowed to compete in the next games, saying (via ESPN):

"If you test positive, you should never be allowed to come back and compete again. Cut and dry. I believe one and done."

Phelps added:

"I subjected myself to do more testing - blood and urine - weekly... I won 23 Olympic gold medals the clean way. It can be done."

Conor McGregor slams Ryan Garcia, Sean O'Malley for testing positive for banned substances

It seems 'The Notorious' shares Michael Phelps' beliefs in absolution when dealing with athletes on Performance-Enhancing Drugs (PEDs). In recent events, the outspoken Irishman slammed boxing star Ryan Garcia and UFC bantamweight champ Sean O'Malley for testing positive for Ostarine, a banned substance.

McGregor posted on X:

"Cheated the weight and juiced, lifetime ban, sad to see, sad to say. Sad and a bit sick. Don't come near me if I see you, Ryan Garcia. I am actually disgusted."

McGregor added:

"This ostarine it reminds me of Sean O'Malley was on that as well. I don't like this; I'll bust you both up. Do you want a spar? I will set flights right now for you both for a full-on spar each. Hotel Black Forge Inn the lot. #letssparomalley and #garcia two little ostarine heads, I'll ride you both like yous are ostriches. Wtf is up."
