Logan Paul backtracks on Imane Khelif comments, admits he "might be guilty of spreading misinformation"

Logan Paul believes he might have jumped the gun on drawing a conclusion on the ongoing controversy surrounding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif. Paul was among the names of high-profile celebrities, sports stars, and notable personalities who protested Khelif's participation in the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024.

Khelif's inclusion in the international multi-sport event drew significant controversy based on past DNA tests that allegedly proved the boxer had XY chromosomes. On top of that, netizens have called out what they believe to be unmerited advantage.

In line with the sentiment, Paul took to X to lash out at Khelif's participation and react to her controversial win over Angela Carini in the second round of the women's 66 kg event. He wrote:

“This is the purest form of evil unfolding right before our eyes. A man was allowed to beat up a woman on a global stage, crushing her life’s dream while fighting for her deceased father. This delusion must end.”

However, it has now come to light that Khelif was born with Differences in Sexual Development (DSDs), a rare condition where a person has atypical chromosomal or androgenic sex development that may have led to the elevated testosterone levels in her results. Now that he has more clarity on the matter, the WWE star did an about-face regarding Khelif's situation and took to X to write:

"OOPSIES! I might be guilty of spreading misinformation along with the entirety of this app. I stand by my sentiment that biological men should not compete against biological women in any sport and if you disagree you’re a sick f***.”

What did Logan Paul's brother say about Imane Khelif's participation in the Paris Olympics 2024?

Logan Paul's younger brother Jake stood on the frontline of critics who denounced Imane Khelif's participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

During Khelif's fight against Angela Carini, the Italian competitor withdrew just 46 seconds into the contest, citing an unfair advantage for her Algerian rival. The sight of her overcome with tears generated a distressing resonance in the combat sports community. 'The Problem Child' took to X to react to the situation and wrote:

"This is sickening. This is a travesty. Doesn’t matter what you believe. This is wrong and dangerous."
