The event delivered and received rave reviews for their incredible production, which cost over $20 million, and allowed fans at home to experience the allure of the venue.

The Toronto Maple Leafs captain has been to several events in the past along with his friends including Justin Bieber and fellow NHL stars Joe Thornton and Frederik Andersen. While speaking to Canadian outlet Sportsnet, Matthews expressed his excitement for the UFC celebrating Mexican Independence Day. The Maple Leafs captain mentioned the announcement for Noche UFC 306 and it being hosted at such a unique venue made him proud of his Mexican background:

"Yeah, it's pretty cool...I definitely take a lot of pride in my background, and you know, where my family's from, so it's pretty cool and I'm sure that with [Noche UFC 306] being in the Sphere and everything, it's gonna be a really great show."

Although it's unclear whether Auston Matthews was in attendance at the Sphere this past Saturday, he was in attendance at UFC 303 this past June.

The event was the promotion's annual International Fight Week pay-per-view, which was headlined by the light heavyweight title clash between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka. Pereira earned an impressive second-round TKO in the rematch, which was two months after his previous title defense against Jamahal Hill.
