Logan Paul says Mike Tyson made a "grave error" by slapping Jake Paul, issues warning of "utter devastation"
The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match will have severe consequences for the latter, according to Logan Paul. The eldest Paul brother recently took to X to share his thoughts on Tyson slapping Jake at the weigh-ins ahead of their fight. As expected, Logan had nothing but praise for his brother.
Not only did he claim that Tyson had made a mistake by slapping Jake, but 'Maverick' made an even bolder statement. He claimed that the upcoming bout will crown the new face of boxing. It is quite the claim, especially given his brother's lack of accomplishments in professional boxing.
Logan Paul said:
"My brother got slapped by Mike Tyson, f**king iconic... but a grave error. This fight just became personal for Jake. Tomorrow's outcome will be utter devastation for Mike; the new face of boxing will be crowned tomorrow"
Logan completed his statement by tagging his brother at the end, and it is easy to see why he is so confident in Jake's ability to beat Tyson. There is a 31-year age difference between 'The Problem Child' and 'Iron Mike.'
Tyson's health issues flared up ahead of the original July 20 date. This led to a postponement for a Nov. 15 date. Now, many are eager to see what will take place inside the ring.
Tyson is one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in history, but at 58, he's far past his prime and lacks the physical attributes to express his breadth of boxing skill to its fullest extent. While many expect him to lose, Tyson is adamant that he won't. Now it is his time to prove that he still has it.
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul had another pre-fight altercation
While Mike Tyson slapping Jake Paul at the weigh-ins has made headlines, it isn't the only physical altercation the pair have had. Months ago, following a pre-fight press conference, the two men took part in a promotional staredown, during which Tyson shoved Paul.
Check out the shoving match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson:
As expected, Paul returned the favor by shoving Tyson as well. Fortunately, nothing more came of their altercation, and the staredown proceeded without further incident.
