Ahead of his huge trilogy fight with Adriano Moraes, ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson has returned to training alongside a former foe.
Johnson faced former UFC flyweight and bantamweight world champion Henry Cejudo twice during his run with the UFC, but following his decision to sign with ONE Championship, the two have become excellent training partners for one another.
When it comes to combat sports knowledge and experience, it simply doesn’t get much better than Johnson and Cejudo. So, it was no surprise to see ‘Mighty Mouse’ return to Cejudo’s Fight Ready gym in Arizona.
Both men have been helping each other improve and that’s a scary thought considering their accomplishments in martial arts.
Whilst Henry Cejudo’s long-anticipated return to competition is still not confirmed, Demetrious Johnson knows the task that is ahead of him. His world championship defense against Adriano Moraes in the United States at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 will undoubtedly go down as one of the biggest fights in his Hall of Fame-worthy career.
Johnson posted a photo alongside Cejudo on Instagram with the caption:

For the first time in his legendary career, Demetrious Johnson will compete against the same opponent three times. His trilogy with Adriano Moraes has pushed ‘Mighty Mouse’ further than he has gone before after their first meeting ended with Johnson being finished for the first time in his career.
At ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, both men will have the opportunity to close out their trilogy after splitting the first two meetings. Not only that, Moraes will try to win back the flyweight world championship that Johnson claimed when he knocked him out at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August 2022.
It cannot be underestimated how big this fight is. The two previous meetings between the pair produced great fights and two of the biggest moments in ONE’s history with their respective knockouts over one another.
On top of that, Demetrious Johnson vs. Adriano Moraes will also serve as the main event of a historic night for ONE Championship. ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 will mark the promotion’s first event in the United States. The fight will take place at the 1STBANK Center in Colorado, a stage that is deserving of such a monumental match-up.
