Demetrious Johnson has carved out an MMA career worthy of being called one of the greatest of all time. Yet, he can relate to fans' experience with the critically acclaimed video game Elden Ring.

'Mighty Mouse', who announced his retirement from MMA at ONE 168: Denver last Friday, Sept. 6, inside the Ball Arena, shared his love-hate relationship with the game's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC during the post-event press conference.

Johnson balanced his love for video games with an otherworldly dedication to MMA, leading to a superb 25-win career. He is the only fighter ever to win a world championship in both the UFC and ONE Championship.


Demetrious Johnson opens up on his gamer roots

Demetrious Johnson has never shied away from his love of video games and explained how it all began during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on the r/MMA subreddit last year.

The flyweight MMA icon wrote:

"Starting gaming when [I] was in kindergarten I think and OG nintendo."
