Magomed Ankalaev advises Jiri Prochazka to change weight classes following consecutive losses to champion Alex Pereira: "You too small"

Magomed Ankalaev recently took aim at Jiri Prochazka and suggested he follow through with his reported plans to move to a different weight division. The former light heavyweight champion was unsuccessful in his second attempt at regaining the title as he lost by TKO to Alex Pereira at UFC 303.

Prochazka is currently at a crossroads in the light heavyweight division as he has lost to Pereira twice, which could make it difficult for him to earn another title shot. The Dagestani, on the other hand, has been in the title picture for quite some time and is believed to be the next contender in line.

Championship Rounds tweeted a quote from the former light heavyweight champion, who believes that he could defeat 'Poatan' and even named him as a potential opponent. The tweet caught the attention of Ankalaev, who responded by suggesting another path for Prochazka to take rather than pursuing a bout against him. He wrote:

"Go to middleweight you too small"

Magomed Ankalaev confident that he will finish Alex Pereira

Magomed Ankalaev not only took aim at Jiri Prochazka, but he also recently made a bold claim regarding a potential bout against Alex Pereira.

The Dagestani is believed to be 'Poatan' next title challenger and would pose a greater risk from a grappling and wrestling perspective, which the Brazilian has yet to face. Despite his strengths, Ankalaev took to his X account to inform the MMA community that he is confident that he will win the UFC light heavyweight championship by finishing Pereira. He wrote:

"Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, New York, Vegas doesn't matter anywhere, anytime by KO. Be ready Alex"
