Manchester United legend shares Khabib Nurmagomedov’s friendly warning following training request: "Relax bro"
Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from mixed martials arts in 2020 after defeating Justin Gaethje via second-round submission at UFC 254 to defend his lightweight title for the third time. He has remained involved in the sport, serving as a coach - despite a brief retirement - and continuing to train. 'The Eagle' recently spent time with Patrice Evra, issuing a friendly warning following the request for a training session.
The former Manchester United star shared a photo of the two together to Instagram, captioning the post:
"Brother I would like a training session with you .. Khabib: 'Are you sure?' I'm going to put you to sleep! Me: Deal but relaxxx bro 😅 ❤️ #Ilovethisgame #positive4evra #brother #khabibnurmagomedov"
Nurmagomedov shared Evra's post to his story, adding:
"I will send you location very soon. Be ready )))"

Nurmagomedov retired from the sport as one of the best fighters of all-time. He ended his illustrious career with 29-0 record and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2022. It is unclear if Evra will take 'The Eagle' up on his offer to train together.
Khabib Nurmagomedov reflects on 'emotional' Conor McGregor fight
Khabib Nurmagomedov faced Conor McGregor at UFC 229 in 2018, which remains the highest-selling pay-per-view event in promotional history with 2.4 million buys, winning the bout via fourth-round submission. He recently opened up on his emotions going into the fight, which had a very heated build-up.
Speaking to Adam Catterall on the Inspire Me Podcast, 'The Eagle' shared:
"I remember when I come inside the cage, when the cage closed, I remember I looked at Dana [White] and I said, 'today, you cannot protect [Conor McGregor].' Dana asked me what? I said, 'today, you cannot protect him.' He didn't hear me, it's ok after the fight [we'll] talk... It was a very emotional time, but at the same time, it was my feeling - I really wanted to bite someone's heart. Do you have that feeling in your life? I just tried to bite his heart."
