"Many people look down on me" - Tawanchai coming into rematch against Superbon with massive chip on his shoulder
Tawanchai PK Saenchai has got a big task ahead of him in the coming weeks as he prepares to defend his ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship.
The Thai striker has been dominant in his preferred ruleset but he also has aspirations to compete in multiple sports.
For now, his focus is on his rematch with Superbon, which is set to headline the upcoming ONE 170 card on Jan. 24.
The kingpin knows that beating the ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion won't be easy but he has plans for the future already in place.
During his time in ONE, Tawanchai has also been competing in kickboxing with plans to become a two-sport world champion.
This is something that he brought up during the recent media day in the build-up to his next outing in Bangkok, Thailand.
The PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym athlete believes that he is unfairly criticized for not achieving as much success in kickboxing but he hopes that after this fight, he will get the opportunity to prove himself once again:
"If I can get through this fight, I want to ask for a ticket to fight for kickboxing gold. I want to prove myself because many people look down on me that I can't fight in kickboxing."

Tawanchai is building great experience
Tawanchai hasn't been able to make the same impact in kickboxing as he has done in Muay Thai. But, as he becomes more familiar with the ruleset and makes adjustments in his game, that could change.
In fact, what better way to prepare for another venture into kickboxing than taking on the world champion in that sport once again after beating him in the past.
The Thai has already beaten Superbon once and if he's able to do it again, it would be hard to deny him the opportunity of getting a big fight in kickboxing.
