Marvin Vettori claims him and Sean Strickland are going to be the new villains of MMA

Sean Strickland and Marvin Vettori may have just become the MMA world's next exciting bromance to watch out for as 'The Italian Dream' seems to be enjoying training with Strickland at the Xtreme Couture gym in Las Vegas.

While it is no secret that the two top-ranked middleweights have been friends for a while, they recently put their friendly banter on display when 'Tarzan' was being interviewed and Vettori even claimed the pair are going to be the next villains of mixed martial arts to look out for.

In a recent interview with The Schmo, Vettori said:

"He's ready. Yeah, yeah. He's fat but he's ready. We're going to be the villains of MMA right now."

It should come as no surprise that the pair are training together, considering Sean Strickland was expecting Vettori to join him in Las Vegas as early as last year.

Vettori will square off against Roman Dolidze at UFC 286 in London. Strickland is scheduled to face Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Vegas 67 after Kevin Gastelum was forced to pull out of the bout. The outspoken middleweight accepted the fight on just 5 days' notice.

When Marvin Vettori detailed his weird relationship with Sean Strickland

Sean Strickland is among the most entertaining and polarizing personalities in the UFC, as the No.7-ranked middleweight has no qualms about speaking his mind freely.

However, that clearly doesn't seem to bother Marvin Vettori. It seems this friendship isn't new and goes back a few years. In an interview with Helen Yee in May last year, Vettori outlined his relationship with Strickland, calling it "very weird":

“It’s a very weird relationship that me and Sean have. We respect each other and he says a lot of crazy s**t, it’s hard to stay by his side a lot of times, but I know deep inside he’s not a bad guy. He brings it, we help each other, we’ve been helping each other for over five or more years almost.”
