Marvin Vettori responds to 'goofy weirdo' Andre Muniz's callout video of him shooting Vettori in the face
Marvin Vettori has issued a response to Andre Muniz's unique callout.
Muniz recently uploaded a video to social media where he can be seen doing shooting practice with Vettori's face as the target. In the caption of the video, Muniz asked 'The Italian Dream' to sign the fight contract.
Vettori responded to the callout by saying that although he had received no contract, he was open to fighting the Brazilian:
"FYI, I never received no contract you goofy weirdo but no contract needed I just need to see you."
This is not the first time the 29-year-old has expressed interest in fighting Muniz.
A few days ago, Vettori uploaded a tweet stating his intentions to go toe-to-toe with the Brazilian:
"If this fu**er Muniz would shut his mouth maybe they would have match him up with me but he running his mouth wtf at least do a proper call out. If not please just anybody."
Muniz is on an incredible run at the moment. 'Sergipano' is currently on a nine-fight win streak and is undefeated in the UFC.
During his time in the multi-billion dollar promotion, the 32-year-old has defeated the likes of Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza, Eryk Anders and Uriah Hall.
Vettori, on the other hand, has lost two of his last three encounters in the octagon. In his last appearance, 'The Italian Dream' was outclassed by Robert Whittaker for three rounds and lost the fight via unanimous decision.
Marvin Vettori weighs in on Dustin Poirier vs. Beneil Dariush
Since Poirier's recent win at UFC 281, many have been discussing a potential matchup between him and the surging Beneil Dariush.
When asked about the matchup, Poirier said the fight made sense as Dariush has defeated some tough fighters lately- Tony Ferguson and Mateusz Gamrot.
Marvin Vettori seems excited about the idea of Dariush and Poirier, and he expressed the same in a post on Twitter:
Marvin Vettori and Dariush train at the same gym, Kings MMA, and also spar together from time to time.
Dariush is currently on an eight-fight win streak in the shark tank, i.e. the lightweight division. 'The Diamond', on the other hand, recently delivered a 'Fight of the Year' contender with Michael Chandler at UFC 281.
A fight between the two could possibly determine the next contender for the UFC lightweight title.
