"Maximum as ever" - Liam Harrison looking powerful as ever a few weeks before highly anticipated comeback at ONE 167
Former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title challenger Liam Harrison is now ready and looking sharp for his much-awaited return to action on June 7 at ONE 167 against Japanese contender Katsuki Kitano inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Harrison recently shared a mini clip of his training camp ahead of his comeback fight via his Instagram account. In the video, the number five-ranked divisional contender was seen hitting the pads with vicious power.
The British combat sports superstar captioned his post with:
"Maximum violence ... if ya don't like the war cry's turn the volume down right now ... and if you do crank that shit up to 11 🤣. @andybadco1 @darrellkendall_ #muaythai #boxing #padwork"
This marks Harrison's return to action after being sidelined for over a year due to his injury during his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title fight against Nong-O Hama at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August 2022.
Nong-O targeted the Bad Company representative's legs until it caused the injury, resulting in the Thai legend's first-round TKO victory.
Liam Harrison eyes a highlight-reel knockout win over Katsuki Kitano
Harrison vowed to put on a show for the fans since they haven't seen him in action for a long time. Now that he has fully recovered and is fully healthy, he hopes to get another highlight-reel knockout that would further cement his legacy as one of the most exciting Muay Thai fighters in history.
Furthermore, he plans to secure the $50,000 bonus that ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong is giving to every event's best performers and standouts.
ONE 167 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America in U.S. primetime on June 7. The card will emanate from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
