"Maybe one day" - Knockout machine Nico Carrillo sees himself fighting Thai megastar Superbon in the future

Nico Carrillo couldn't help but contemplate the massive opportunities that ONE Championship could provide him if he continues to be unbeaten and eventually becomes a world champion.

The current number one-ranked ONE bantamweight Muay Thai contender appeared recently on a quick question-and-answer video with the promotion on Instagram, where he was asked to pick between fighters.

'The King of the North' gladly answered the questions with:

"Superlek. Superlek. Tawanchai. Superbon. I really, really, really like Superbon. Nico Carrillo. Maybe one day."

During the video, he was also asked if he wanted to fight the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion and former ONE featherweight kickboxing king, and the Scottish superstar quickly responded that it could happen in the future.

Carrillo is now fully focused on conquering the bantamweight Muay Thai division by continuing to win all his assignments given to him by the world's largest martial arts organization.

Currently, he boasts a perfect 3-0 record with a 100% finish rate, beating the likes of Furkan Karabag, Muangthai PK Saenchai, and Nong-O Hama.

Nico Carrillo is scheduled to meet Saemapetch Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 23

Carrillo is now ready to face his latest opponent across the ring on July 5 inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand as he is pitted against fourth-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Saemapetch Fairtex in an all-important bout that could delay or accelerate his shot for the 26-pound golden belt.

A win for the Deachkalek Muay Thai Academy representative could cement his claim as the next consensus challenger for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title, but a defeat could push back his chances of punching a shot at the throne.

ONE Fight Night 23 will be available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America on July 5 during U.S. primetime.
