Merab Dvalishvili flirts with fan online over Sean O'Malley's jacket fiasco
Merab Dvalishvili stole the show in the aftermath of UFC 288's main event.
Aljamain Sterling's third title defense against Henry Cejudo at UFC 288 was followed up with a call-out to No.2-ranked contender Sean O'Malley. During their face-off, O'Malley took off his showstopping red jacket and unknowingly handed it over to No.1-ranked contender Merab Dvalishvili, Sterling's teammate.
Dvalishvili is part of Sterling's entourage and a staunchly loyal teammate to him despite being a top-ranked challenger for the title. The Georgian hilariously donned O'Malley's red jacket and was front and center in the heated face-off.
Merab Dvalishvili has seemingly not yet returned Sean O'Malley's jacket, evident in his latest posts on social media. In an Instagram post, a fan unknowingly questioned where Dvalishvili got the jacket from:
"Where did you get the coat from? @merab.dvalishvili i am jealous!!!"
Dvalishvili used the opportunity to offer the jacket as a gift to the fan:
"@winda.allimac I'm going to keep it until Aljo beats O'Malley then I will give you after..."
The fan responded:
"@merab.dvalishvili are you actually going to keep your word lol"
Dvalishvili made sure to also address the practicalities of his promise while also sliding in a cheeky wink:
"@winda.allimac yes. Send your location after ;))"
