Merab Dvalishvili recently took shots at Umar Nurmagomedov, criticizing his allegedly disrespectful behavior and even bestowing upon him a stinging moniker.
During an interview at UFC 306, Joe Rogan suggested Nurmagomedov as Dvalishvili's first title defense opponent. However, the reigning UFC bantamweight champion refrained from giving a definitive response, stating that he would fight whoever the UFC chose.
The tension between the two escalated, ultimately leading Dvalishvili to accept Nurmagomedov's challenge. The feud intensified further at the pre-UFC 311 press conference.
Recently, Merab Dvalishvili added fuel to the fire with a post on X, labeling Umar Nurmagomedov a "spoilt brat" and warning him about the repercussions of his "lies and disrespect."

"This guy is getting a gift to fight me - Didn’t move up the ranks on his own - just thru one ranked fight and a last name. He is a spoiled brat who continuously spews lies and disrespect. Tune in to UFC311 and he will get exactly what he deserves!"
Islam Makhachev had some advice for Merab Dvalishvili regarding his fight against Umar Nurmagomedov
UFC 311 will feature Islam Makhachev as the headliner, with Umar Nurmagomedov facing Merab Dvalishvili for the bantamweight title in the co-main event.
At the pre-UFC 311 press conference, both Dagestani fighters expressed their excitement about having title fights at the same event.
Makhachev, who has known Umar since the days of Khabib's late father's training camps, voiced his support for 'Young Eagle,' advising Dvalishvili to take him seriously. He refuted Dvalishvili's claims that Umar was undeserving of a title shot, instead calling him a "real contender."
