Michael Bisping blown away by "big, black Jean-Claude Van Damme" Ciryl Gane's defense stats
Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping seems amazed by the impressive defensive skills of Ciryl Gane.
Bisping also raises the question of whether Gane has what it takes to defeat Jon Jones at UFC 285, where the two heavyweight fighters will go head-to-head in Las Vegas.
Bisping, in a recent analysis video on his YouTube channel, evaluated the matchup between Ciryl Gane and Jon Jones and highlighted the critical importance of defense, an area where Gane excels. Bisping's admiration for the Frenchman's defensive stats further underlines the significance of this aspect of the fight and the level of skill required to emerge victorious against an opponent of Jones' caliber.
The 44-year-old UFC veteran stated:
"AS I said before, because of the striking differential and because of the footwork and because of how light he [Gane] is. It's truly like a ballet dancer in there. You know it's like he's a big black Jean-Claude Van Damne."

With Ciryl Gane being one of the biggest and strongest fighters in the UFC, as well as a highly skilled kickboxer, Bisping wonders if this will be enough for him to take down 'Jonny Bones', widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time and the UFC's pound-for-pound GOAT.
Ciryl Gane reviews his preparations against Jon Jones
Ciryl Gane, aka 'Bon Gamin', shared his thoughts on his upcoming fight against Jon Jones in a recent interview with TMZ. Gane expressed confidence in his ability to keep up with Jones' speed and even surpass it during their highly-anticipated bout.
While acknowledging the potential difficulty of the matchup, Gane remains optimistic and focused on his preparations for the fight at UFC 285. His bold prediction of his ability to match Jones' speed in the octagon highlights his self-belief and determination to emerge victorious in what promises to be an intense and thrilling contest. He stated:
"I think [Jones] gonna be less faster than before. He's really normal. When my weight was around [220 to 231 lbs.], I was a little bit faster. So yes, for sure, 100% he's gonna be a little bit less but for a heavyweight, he's gonna have speed."
The 32-year-old rising heavyweight further added:
"When you have a fight and you don't have any challenge, that's not exciting. Today I have a big challenge so I'm really excited about that."
