Michael Chandler cuts loose when asked about strategy against Conor McGregor: "Let him pull out of the fight and embarrass himself"
Michael Chandler recently cut loose and took aim at Conor McGregor as he discussed what his strategy will be against the Irishman. He has continued to take jibes at the former two-division UFC champion as they target a new date for their bout.
The status of the highly anticipated bout has been in limbo since the promotion announced that the Irishman was forced to withdraw from UFC 303 due to a broken toe. Dana White has made it clear that he won't begin discussing a rescheduled date until McGregor is healthy, which has the MMA community speculation on whether it will still materialize this year.
In light of the bout appearing to still be the plan for 'The Notorious' octagon return, a fan tweeted a question to 'Iron' asking him what his strategy is. Chandler took the question as an opportunity to blast McGregor for the bout's constant delays. He wrote:
"Instill fear...let him pull out of the fight and embarrass himself, be known as the guy who retired McGregor without ever throwing a punch..."

Michael Chandler discusses whether Conor McGregor is ducking him
Michael Chandler has not shied away from expressing his disappointment for his planned bout against Conor McGregor being postponed.
The former Bellator lightweight champion has continued to target UFC 306 scheduled for the Sphere in Las Vegas as an ideal date in the form of several tweets hinting at the venue being the location. However, Dana White continues to shut down questions regarding McGregor's status because he doesn't want to reschedule if the Irishman is not cleared to compete.
After a fan tweeted that McGregor will likely never fight again, Chandler responded and took a jibe at the Irishman by implying that he is ducking him. He wrote:
"The new 'Where's Waldo?' - the Mac Daddy had a great run though..."
