Michael Chandler makes his opinion clear on fighting Jorge Masvidal over Conor McGregor

Michael Chandler recently made his opinion clear on fighting Jorge Masvidal over Conor McGregor as he could take advantage of another lucrative opportunity. The former Bellator lightweight champion appears to be interested in remaining active rather than waiting for an extended period again for the Irishman to return.

'Iron' most recently fought Charles Oliveira in a rematch at UFC 309, where he lost a unanimous decision to the former lightweight champion. Despite the loss, Chandler put on a show for the fans in attendance and his stock didn't appear to diminish too much as a result of the loss. Prior to his rematch against 'Do Bronx', he also expressed interest in pursuing some bouts at 170-pounds primarily due to the easier weight-cut.

A fan recently posed a suggestion to 'Iron' on X by telling him that he should forget about McGregor and instead turn his attention to 'Gambred'. The comment caught Chandler's attention and appeared to pique his interest as he responded by issuing a callout to the Miami native:

"Where you at Jorge?"

Michael Chandler claps back at former rival Eddie Alvarez's comments

In addition to expressing interest in possibly welcoming Jorge Masvidal back to the octagon, Michael Chandler clapped back at former rival Eddie Alvarez.

The two lightweights are no strangers to each other as they arguably put Bellator on the map with their legendary bouts. Chandler pulled off an upset by earning a submission win in their first encounter, while Alvarez avenged his loss by earning a split decision win in the rematch.

The BKFC star suggested that his former Bellator rival avoid cutting a promo in defeat like he did following his unanimous decision loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 309. After a fan asked whether he had any response, Chandler mentioned that he didn't dwell on Alvarez's comments and even claimed that he is trying to return to the MMA leader:

"Couldn't care less...he's trying to find a way back in...they always do"
