Michael Chandler takes another shot at Conor McGregor with Hitman game character footage before UFC 303
On the day he was scheduled to face Conor McGregor, Michael Chandler did not let 'The Notorious' off without sending a message. Though they could not fight at UFC 303, Chandler gave a slight jab to McGregor through his character in the video game Hitman.
Following the release of the game featuring McGregor as a villainous character, fans mocked the character's aesthetics. Chandler replied to a video of a fan knocking out McGregor's player by claiming it was a visual representation of what would have happened had their fight gone through.
Chandler said:
"How #UFC303 would have went down tonight"
McGregor and Chandler would have headlined the International Fight Week pay-per-view card on June 29 had it not been for a broken toe that caused the former to withdraw from their matchup. On June 13, Dana White officially announced that the fight was off and Alex Pereira would step in on short notice to defend his light heavyweight title against Jiri Prochazka.
After the fight cancellation, UFC executives have claimed to want to re-book the matchup but no timeline on McGregor's potential return has been confirmed.

As he said he would shortly after the announcement of his fight with Conor McGregor being off the board, Michael Chandler took the flight to Las Vegas to attend International Fight Week.
Chandler said in interviews leading up to the event that he still believed the fight card was "his event" and he "gave his word" to be at the T-Mobile Arena on June 29.
While he no longer will be competing at UFC 303, 'Iron' followed through and was present cage-side for the fights. Chandler would also attend Power Slap 8 the night before.
Having last fought in November 2022, Chandler has not stated if he will continue to pursue the matchup with McGregor or change directions and move on with his career.
