Michael Jai White feels Jon Jones will "run through" the heavyweight division "pretty easily"
Michael Jai White is confident in Jon Jones' chances of success when he makes his heavyweight debut in 2023.
The actor and martial artist joined Vlad TV, where he discussed the former light heavyweight champion's abilities and how he thinks he will fare against top heavyweights. White mentioned that Jones' wrestling would be a big factor:
"He walks around as a heavyweight. I think he'll run through that division pretty easily. I mean, his wrestling skillset, I don't know if there's many people in the heavyweight ranks that could match that." [0:13 - 0:33]
The actor believes 'Bones' will be dominant amongst the big boys. He mentioned that the former light heavyweight champion not having to cut any weight could result in his fights being over quickly once he imposes his will on his opponents:
"Even if he walks around like me, like say 235 [lbs], that's already heavyweight. He doesn't have to cut weight, he should be pretty d*mn healthy by then. If he wraps somebody up, they got problems." [0:34 - 0:48]
It remains to be seen when Jones will make his heavyweight debut. It seems like the UFC is waiting for heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou to be cleared before booking the clash that fans want to see.

Michael Jai White's comments about Bruce Lee might come off as being a little controversial to some, but the question of how Lee would fare against a professional fighter has been a longstanding debate.
While speaking with Vlad TV, he complimented the 'Enter the Dragon' star's skills as a martial arts practitioner. However, he stated that Lee wouldn't be able to defeat a professional fighter.
The interviewer then followed by asking who would win a real, fair fight between Lee and Jackie Chan. White noted that the 'Rush Hour' star is bigger than Lee, which would give him an advantage:
"If I was a betting man, I'd say Jackie Chan. Jackie Chan was bigger... I would say Jackie Chan is about 5' 8" - 5' 9"... and he's durable, that's a tough dude... and a lot heavier than Bruce Lee, that's a major difference in the fight game." [2:03 - 2:35]
