Tate is currently going through a rough patch in the UFC. The 36-year-old has managed to secure only one win in her last five outings. In her last fight, Tate made her flyweight debut and took on Lauren Murphy in July 2022. 'Cupcake' came up short that night and lost the bout via unanimous decision. The three judges scored the contest 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28.

Silva, on the other hand, is currently on a three-fight win streak and has scored impressive submission victories in her last two UFC fights. It wlll be interesting to see whether Tate could return to winning ways or not come June 3.

After an unsuccessful debut at flyweight, Miesha Tate will return to bantamweight where she won the UFC title.

After a record of 13-3, 'Cupcake' made her UFC debut and went up against Cat Zingano. The 36-year-old failed to win the fight but despite that, she earned a title shot in her next outing against Ronda Rousey at UFC 168. The night did not go well for Tate as she suffered a submission loss in the third round of the fight.

Tate then bounced back and stacked four back-to-back victories to earn another shot at UFC gold. This time, she went up against Holly Holm at UFC 196 and submitted her in the final round to be crowned the new UFC bantamweight queen.
