Mike Perry believes Jake Paul would shy away from bare-knuckle fight: "He definitely won't want to"
Jake Paul claims he would throw down with Mike Perry in gloveless combat but the King of Violence doubts these claims.
Perry is scheduled to throw down with Paul in a boxing bout in the coming days and many are focusing on their July 20 contest. Following the announcement of their Queensberry Rules throwdown, Paul claimed he would also be intrigued by either MMA action or a Bare Knuckle fight against the BKFC superstar.
The undefeated bare knuckle boxer cast some doubts on these recent claims from Paul on his desires for a future BKFC fight when speaking to MMA Fighting recently. In a recent excerpt from his chat with that outlet, Perry said:
"One thing I want to remind Jake over and over again is that he wouldn't do a bare-knuckle fight. Whether he says he would or not, especially after this fight in 10-ounce gloves."
He added:
"He wants to bring it up like 'boxing is this incredible sport and these hooligans are out there doing this bare-knuckle stuff' and blah, blah, blah. I'm going to beat him with 10-ounce gloves on. He definitely won't want to do bare-knuckle after that."

Jake Paul and his war against the MMA world
Jake Paul has largely carved out his path within the sweet science landscape by taking on former UFC veterans inside the ring. The influencer-turned-combat sports disruptor would go 2-0 as a pro boxer before taking on his first former UFC alumni, Ben Askren.
The multi-promotion champion would get finished in the first round in April 2021 under the Triller Fight Club banner. This ties in to the Perry rivalry as well because 'Platinum' would spar with Paul before this Askren matchup and the varying accounts from both men planted the seed for their feud.
The 27-year-old would then compete under the Showtime banner and garner two victories over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley through 2021. The first fight with 'The Chosen One' saw Paul win on points and then 'The Problem Child' would score an emphatic KO in their sequel affair.
The Ohio native would have his lone pro boxing loss so far to Tommy Fury bookended by wins over former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and former UFC lightweight title challenger Nate Diaz. It seems like the Paul vs Diaz saga is not over if the latter has anything to say about it.
