Mike Perry's five-word reaction stands out amid a plethora of dejected comments from fans shredding the UFC for seemingly promoting an OnlyF*ns model

Mike Perry’s recent five-word response stood out amidst widespread criticism directed under a recent UFC Instagram post. The post, promoting a Power Slap giveaway featuring Jameliz Benitez Smith, a dancer, soccer player, and influencer, sparked controversy for its collaboration with OnlyF*ns-affiliated content.

The contest offered fans a chance to win a McLaren 600LT, a high-performance supercar powered by a 600PS engine. Fans expressed frustration over the UFC’s increasingly influencer-centric approach, calling it a departure from its traditional martial arts identity.

Critics flooded the comments with disapproval, highlighting concerns over the perceived trivialization of UFC’s branding. Remarks such as “UFC, what are we doing?” and “Promoting OnlyF*ns on UFC…really?” reflect the sentiment of a portion of the fanbase that finds this strategy alienating.

Perry dropped a short five-word reaction under the post, writing:

"Korn is the new king."

The UFC’s influencer-driven partnerships, particularly with Power Slap, seemingly aim to diversify audience engagement but have faced scrutiny from some fans for prioritizing sensationalism over tradition. Several prominent influencers, including IShowSpeed, Kai Cenat and Adin Ross have been spotted at Power Slap events.

Mike Perry eyes BKFC return amid Conor McGregor rift

Mike Perry remains focused on returning to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) despite a public fallout with Conor McGregor. The 33-year-old, who boasts a 5-0 record in the promotion with victories over notable names like Michael Page and Luke Rockhold, has three fights left on his BKFC contract.

After a sixth-round TKO loss to Jake Paul in boxing earlier this year, Perry's standing in BKFC appeared uncertain. McGregor dismissed Perry from BKFC in a highly publicized statement. Despite this, Perry believes he remains vital to the promotion’s success. Speaking in a recent interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Perry said:

“I still do have three fights left on my contract with bare-knuckle. I would love to fight those fights and 2025 might be an even bigger year for me. Everything has been real quiet, nothing much has been said. But, you know, the fans know that I need to come back in there."

Perry added:

"It’s a funny little joke [about me being fired] that we seem to talk about every time I get on camera. But, do you guys think Conor McGregor is done making money? You need me in bare-knuckle if you really want to make a splash.”
