Mike Perry shouts out Nate Diaz for lasting 10 rounds with Jake Paul after TKO loss

Mike Perry took to X/Twitter following his crushing TKO loss to Jake Paul, where he singled out both 'The Problem Child' and MMA superstar and fellow UFC alumnus Nate Diaz. In a brief statement, 'Platinum' congratulated 'The Problem Child' for beating him in the ring.

Then, in the same statement, Perry praised Diaz for surviving the full 10 rounds against Paul when they fought. It was a sobering moment for the BKFC star, whose stock may have fallen following his defeat to Paul, given his violent promises to give the latter a rude awakening on fight night.

"Congrats @jakepaul, shout out to @NateDiaz209 who went 10 rounds with him. Thanks to everyone who came out."

While Perry's toughness and grit were both on display during his bout with Paul, his gameplan left a lot to be desired. He approached the fight as though it were a bare-knuckle boxing match, fighting with his hands low and trying to walk his larger, more powerful foe without fear of repercussions.

Unfortunately, he paid dearly for this mindset, being on the receiving end of several knockdowns and bad moments before the referee called for an end to the bout in round six. In the aftermath of his win, 'The Problem Child' made clear his intentions to face Mike Tyson later in the year.

Moreover, he called out reigning UFC light heavyweight champion and kickboxing great Alex Pereira. While 'Poatan' responded with interest in boxing him, it is unlikely given his contractual situation with the UFC, which Paul noted.

Conor McGregor blasts Mike Perry for his performance against Jake Paul

While some lauded Mike Perry for his toughness against Jake Paul, one man who was greatly displeased with 'Platinum's' performance was Conor McGregor. The Irishman, who is now a part-owner of BKFC, took to X/Twitter to criticize one of the promotion's biggest stars in scathing fashion.

"Hey Mike youre released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You're fired."

Not only did McGregor mock Perry's newly launched promotion, Dirty Boxing Championship, he also claimed to fire the latter, even tagging BKFC in the tweet.
