Mike Tyson admits it's "hard to walk" ahead of Jake Paul boxing match: "I'll do anything that will help me"

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has revealed that he is facing challenges in his training regimen as he prepares for his upcoming match against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. Despite these difficulties, Tyson remains determined to step into the ring on Nov. 15, 2024.

The highly anticipated bout was initially scheduled for July but was postponed due to Tyson's health issues. In his absence, Paul went on to defeat bare-knuckle boxing star Mike Perry. Now, Tyson is focused on getting back into fighting shape and is utilizing various recovery methods, including electrostimulation and stem cells.

Speaking to USA Today, 'Iron Mike' said:

“It’s hard to walk right now, but two months from now I’m going to be perfect... I’ll do anything that will help me."

Kevin McBride shares his prediciton for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul

Kevin McBride has weighed in on the highly anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, predicting a decisive victory for Tyson. McBride, who faced Tyson in his final official fight in 2005, believes that Tyson's power will prove too much for Paul to handle.

Despite Tyson's age, McBride is confident that the former champion still possesses the same knockout power that made him legendary. He pointed to Tyson's recent training videos as evidence of his continued strength.

McBride expects Tyson to dominate the fight, predicting a victory within the first two rounds:

"When you're a fighter like Tyson I can tell you he's going in there to win and to take care of business... He does not want to look back and think he let Jake Paul off the hook. He's going in there to win and Paul will need to be on his best form to survive. I can tell from the media that Tyson has done so far that he wants to win, it's in his blood, and the competition will never leave him."

He continued:

"All Mike has to do is connect and Jake Paul will be seeing Christmas lights for the next week. He'll time him in the first couple rounds and it will be over." [H/t: Marca]
