Mike Tyson shares brutally honest admission about Jake Paul fight, claims he "blanked out" during bout: "I don't remember the fight that much"

Mike Tyson's controversial return to boxing against Jake Paul delivered few moments to remember. The headlining matchup of the Netflix boxing card essentially saw 'The Problem Child' peppering 'Iron Mike' with jabs while constantly circling away from him.

Tyson showcased a low work rate, only landing 18 punches on his opponent through eight rounds. The former heavyweight champion skipped the post-fight presser and hasn't commented about the fight since.

However, in a recent interview with FOX Sports Radio, the 58-year-old opened up about the fight. Interestingly, he didn't have much to share as he couldn't recall much of the bout. Tyson said:

"I don't remember the fight that much, I kind of blanked out a little... Know what I remember? I remember coming back from the first round, and Jake is doing some kind of, I don't know what he was doing [a bow]. That's the last thing I remember."

While Tyson has largely forgotten how the Paul fight played out, he felt the effects the following morning:

"The day after I woke up, I said to my wife, 'Why did I do that?' I just didn't know what the hell was going on... My body was really sore... My chest and my stomach was really sore."

Jake Paul hits back at "rigged" allegations for Mike Tyson fight

Ever since Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson in their Netflix boxing showdown, many have speculated that the fight was scripted. Numerous clips shared online accuse Tyson of deliberately shying away from capitalizing on opportunities to knock out Paul.

Many fans questioned Tyson's performance during the bout, arguing that it was suspicious for the former champion to look the way he did during the fight, especially given his exceptional pad work leading up to the event.

During a recent appearance on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, 'The Problem Child' hit back at such narratives, saying:

"People are like.'Oh, it's rigged because look at him on the pads but he didn't do this in the fight...' Because is f*****g punching back you d**b f***s. People don't realize my power, my jab, and my speed, and my footwork to get out of the way of those punches."
