Reigning and undisputed ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion 'Darth Rigatoni' Mikey Musumeci of the United States is getting ready to make history against lightweight king Kade Ruotolo at ONE 168: Denver.
The two are set to compete in what's being billed as the biggest match in jiu-jitsu history, and the entire sport is captivated.
Musumeci is known as one of the best BJJ competitors of all time, with unparalleled skill and technical ability. Ruotolo, on the other hand, is arguably the best pound-for-pound in BJJ today. Needless to say, the world will be watching when Musumeci and Ruotolo take to the mats early next month.
Speaking to Cageside Press in a recent interview, Musumeci discussed Ruotolo and his thoughts on the 21-year-old phenom ahead of their matchup.
'Darth Rigatoni' said:
"I just want to fight the best people. Kade's the best guy in the world at lightweight. He's the best and I love him. I'm a huge fan of him. I speak so highly of him because he's a really nice kid, and he has very good values and what he represents."
Musumeci is currently wrapping up training camp and will head to Denver soon to acclimate to the elevation.
