Misfits Boxing 18 prediction: Picking the winner for Elle Brooke vs. Jenny Savage
With Misfits Boxing 18 awaiting influencer boxing fans next weekend, much of the discourse surrounding the event has focused on the Elle Brooke vs. Jenny Savage prediction, with the pair locking horns for the MFB women's middleweight title.
They are joined by more championship action in Nikki Hru's defense of her MFB women's lightweight strap against former ring girl Carla Jade. Of course, there is also the surprising boxing match between Chris Avila and the great Benson Henderson.
With so many fights scheduled, who is expected to emerge victorious, and will there be any upsets at Misfits Boxing 18?
#1 MFB women's middleweight title: Elle Brooke vs. Jenny Savage
The Misfits Boxing 18 headline bout is not Elle Brooke's first. She is no stranger to main event bright lights, and most importantly, she hasn't lost to anyone who isn't a champion. At 4-1, her only loss has been to MFB women's cruiserweight champion Jully Oliveira.
Jenny Savage, meanwhile, has not enjoyed the same level of success that her opponent has, despite competing in both MMA and bare-knuckle boxing. In fact, she is currently on a two-fight losing streak. To make matters worse, she is older with more wear-and-tear, and is also five inches shorter than Brooke.
While she may be a more experienced combat sports athlete, she isn't the first MMA fighter-turned-failed BKFC star that Brooke has faced. After all, she is coming off a split-draw against the more famous Paige VanZant. Moreover, the Englishwoman is the more seasoned boxer, and with far more power.
The combination of her edge in experience, youth, size advantage, granite chin, and punching power should earn her the nod come fight night.
The Prediction: Elle Brooke via unanimous decision
#1 The rest of the Misfits Boxing 18 prediction
The other bouts on the Misfits Boxing 18 card also promise memorable action. Chris Avila, who is coming off a win over Anthony Pettis, will take on one of 'Showtime's' former foes and another former UFC lightweight champion in Benson Henderson at light heavyweight.
In short, Avila is the safe pick. He is undefeated in boxing at 6-0, uses a swarming pressure boxing style, and does not tire. Henderson, to his credit, is legendary, but is also 40 years old and will be deprived of his main weapons—wrestling and calf kicks—in a boxing ring.
The Prediction: Chris Avila via unanimous decision
