MMA journalist impressed as Michael Bisping’s pinpoint prediction of Jon Jones’ UFC 285 tactics comes true
Jon Jones made a triumphant return to the octagon by submitting Ciryl Gane in the very first round of the UFC 285 main event. Jones not only debuted at heavyweight sucessfully but also captured the championship in his very first attempt.
Former UFC middleweight Michael Bisping saw Jones' quickfire victory happening prior to the fight, as he explained to MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn in an interview:
“I’ve got it. I know exactly what’s going to happen. This is what’s going to happen in the fight. Just dawned on me before, Jon’s very smart, he has a very high fight IQ. He’s very experienced. He knows how to win fights. It’s gonna be lackluster to start, Jon’s going to be very elusive. Ciryl’s the guy that moves a lot, Ciryl’s the striker. Jon is going to make Ciryl come to him because going forward, he’s gonna go through the danger… He’s not going to shoot takedowns from the other side of the octagon. Even walking into a clinch could be dangerous."
After outlining Jones' strategy to maintain distance, Bisping predicted how Jones would attack and take down his French opponent:
"So he’s going to dance around him, he’s going to move a lot and he’s going to make Ciryl be the aggressor. Ciryl comes in, swings a shot, a kick whatever it is. When that misses… look at this, then you got a big area, a big target to clinch, to take down. So he’s going to dance around, he’s going to frustrate Ciryl, he’s going to make Ciryl expose himself and then he’s going to look to take him down. Will it be successful? That’s not what I’m saying. But that will be the gameplan and the strategy.”

Jon Jones hits back at Francis Ngannou after the former heavyweight champion reacts to his win
Francis Ngannou vacated the heavyweight title as he exited the promotion following a lengthy contractual dispite.
Despite that, the Cameroonian is attempting to maintain his status as the top heavyweight. He congratulated Jon Jones after his win, but slid in a snide remark that aluded to his previous reign.
When asked about Ngannou in the post-fight press conference, Jon Jones retorted:
"Francis is a big old p**sy... I love that quote, I love it. All that muscle with a big a** p**sy. Excuse me. I'm so sorry."
It is very unlikely that the two fighters will ever meet in the UFC octagon as Dana White has ruled out any possible return for Ngannou.
